Whilst surfing our social feed, we see advertisements for products we have recently viewed on google. This is a result of search engines and social media relaying information and data to help optimise CRO and ROI.

The majority of consumers say they relied on social media to guide their purchasing decisions. Therefore, the chances of them buying increases hugely. Also, did you know that 84% of shoppers review at least one social media site before purchasing?

Instagram’s primary function is providing pictures and videos. Facebook bought Instagram in 2012. It’s no surprise that Instagram has seen success over the past recent years. Furthermore, studies have found that 64% of customers bought a product after seeing social videos on a media platform; as people find pictures and videos more visually engaging than written text. Instagram is slowly becoming hot on Facebook’s heel in marketing.

Depop is a rapidly growing social shopping platform that has the aspects of both eBay and Instagram put together. The system allows you to use hashtags to narrow searches for products. In addition, allowing you to message people directly and share products with them. Furthermore, using advanced filters to narrow your search down dramatically.
